A driver on the 10th highway near downtown Los Angeles was injured Thursday night when a rock was thrown into the windshield of a pickup.
The rock, a block of concrete, was one of several people thrown into the drivers in the area. California Highway Patrol officials responded to the 10th and 110 highway interchanges at about 11:40pm on Thursday, where they spotted the Blackford Ranger in the middle lane.
The video shows the blocks on the floor of the Ranger’s crushed windshield and the driver’s side seat.
The driver was hospitalized, but details of the condition were not available immediately.
Another driver on the 110 highway in the area told NBCLA that his car was also attacked by rocks. The man thought he might have hit something on the road, but then he looked at his crushed windshield to the passenger side.
“I can get a glimpse of this figure. “Did I drive something? You hear a loud noise in your car, and you oh, it sounds expensive.”
No arrests were reported early Thursday morning.
In May, a motorcyclist crashed on a 110 highway near downtown Los Angeles, hitting rocks thrown into the road. The video shows a man throwing rocks on top of the guardrail and throwing them onto the highway. The motorcyclist was thrown from the bike but was not seriously injured.
