Officers found $154,000 worth of methamphetamine during a traffic stop in San Bernardino County.
On Dec. 24, a California Highway Patrol trooper in Victorville observed a driver making dangerous “swerving maneuvers” on Route 395 near Route 15.
Officers stopped the driver and noticed signs of alcohol and drug intoxication. An investigation was conducted and the suspect was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.

While searching the suspect’s car, officers found more than 44 pounds of methamphetamine in the trunk, with a street value of $154,000.
Photos from the time of the arrest show the illegal drugs were stored in 20 large air-sealed packages. The identity of the suspect has not been released as the incident is under investigation.
“Good job getting this dangerous driver and this dangerous substance off the road,” CHP officials said. “Please continue to drive safely this holiday season. Please flag drunk drivers and call 911 if you see someone driving dangerously.”
