Two Southern California men have been arrested in connection with retail theft in Riverside County.
The suspect was identified as 47 years old MacLean Andrew Short, 35, and Jesus Miguel Robles, 47, of 35, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office.
On September 7, 2024, detectives began investigating organized retail crimes targeting businesses in Moreno Valley.
More than $22,000 in stolen goods were taken from the victim’s facility.
On February 12, lawmakers executed search warrants at several locations in Moreno Valley, including the Robles’ home in the 2500 block of Silent Creek Road.
During the search, authorities found a large collection of stolen goods, including designer sunglasses, electric scooters and other items linked to organized theft rings.
Both Robles and Short were arrested for robbery, grand larceny and organized retail theft. Short also faces fees for probation violations.
“Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station Set is still committed to dealing with organized retail crime and ensuring the safety and security of local businesses and residents,” department officials said.
