Two suspects were arrested after a man was stabbed to death on Riverside.
On June 29, Riverside police responded to a stab wound in the 9900 block of Magnolia Avenue around Arlington at about 7:20 a.m.
On arrival, officers found Riverside victim Michael Pope, 58, lying on the ground with multiple stab wounds. He was taken to hospital, where he died of injuries.
The suspect fled the area before police arrived.
A preliminary investigation revealed a physical altercation involving the Pope and the suspect. The victim was stabbed multiple times during the conflict, police said.
With information from the dispatcher, officers found a nearby suspect. They were identified as 36-year-old Christopher James Bushbaum and 67-year-old Myron Daniels. Both are local transitions.

They were arrested for murder and booked at Robert Presley Detention Center. Both are held without bail.
“This was a pointless act of violence,” said Chad Mirby, the Riverside Police Captain of the Investigation Division. “Thanks to critical information, prompt response by patrol officers, and the prompt action of dispatchers in getting thorough investigation work by murder detectives, these two murder suspects are off the streets.”
Details including motives and whether the suspect and victim were known to each other were not released.
