Two suspects have been arrested on suspicion of sexual abuse of a child in Riverside.
The suspect was identified as William Thomas Trader, 55, and 46-year-old Merriam Doguillo, according to the Riverside Police Department.
On January 2nd, detectives began investigating allegations of continued sexual abuse of minors that had been occurring for several years.
The trader was identified as a major suspect and was arrested the same day. He was booked on multiple charges including worse sexual assault and indecent behavior by a minor against a child under the age of 10.
Police said the trader was also a registered sex offender and had been previously convicted of sexual abuse of a minor.
During the investigation, detectives identified Dogillo as the second suspect in the case. Doguillo later moved out of California. On March 6th, with the help of an ex-US US, she was arrested in New York.

She is waiting for extradition procedures to be transferred to Riverside County, where she faces multiple counts of sexual abuse against minors.
It is unknown how the suspect is known to the child. No further details have been made as the investigation continues.
“Through the meticulous work done by investigators and the metro team, we were able to identify and arrest two individuals for a horrifying crime against a child,” said Chad Mirby Grandtain, who oversees the police department’s investigation department. “These arrests were the result of extensive collaboration with police departments, victim advocacy groups and various units within the Child Protection Services. One of the main objectives of the Riverside Police Department has been to ensure the safety and well-being of the children involved at all times.
