The Golden Globe Awards return on Sunday with big-star glamor thanks to a slew of big-name nominees including Zendaya, Timothée Chalamet, Angelina Jolie, Daniel Craig, Denzel Washington, Ariana Grande and more .
Nominations for the 82nd annual awards ceremony were made last month. The show will be televised by CBS and streamed on Paramount+.
Here are some important things to know about the ceremony:
Who is the host of the Golden Globe Awards?
The ceremony will be hosted by comedian and actor Nikki Glazer.
Glazer has made a name for herself with her razor-sharp wit, especially in roasts, including recently when she called out Tom Brady for his complicated love life and for once defending cryptocurrencies. She was nominated for an Emmy Award for her latest HBO special, “Someday You’ll Die.” The show covered everything from offering to pay for a friend’s abortion to her darkest porn habits.
Glaser cited Tina Fey, Amy Poehler and Ricky Gervais as inspirations. She follows in the footsteps of last year’s host Jo Koy, who was criticized by critics for a stumbling opening monologue and a rushed pace throughout.
Who will be nominated for this year’s Golden Globe Awards?
Jacques Audiard’s bold musical “Emilia Pérez,” about a Mexican drug lord who undergoes gender reassignment surgery, topped the list with 10th place among all nominees.
This puts it ahead of other contenders such as the hit musical “Wicked,” the papal thriller “Conclave” and the post-war blockbuster “The Brutalist.”
The Apprentice, which depicts a young Donald Trump, also received nominations for its two leading performances by Sebastian Stan as Trump and Jeremy Strong as Roy Cohn.
“The Bear” leads by five among all TV nominees.
With his 11th nomination, Denzel Washington became the most nominated black performer at the Globes.
Steve Martin has been nominated for Best Television Actor in a Musical or Comedy Series for the fourth year in a row for “Only Murders in the Building.” This is his ninth nomination, and could be his first Globe win.
There were 26 first-time nominees, including Grande, Dakota Fanning, Glazer, Seth Meyers, Zoe Saldaña and Pamela Anderson, who surprisingly received a nomination for “The Last Showgirl.”
Although no longer offered by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, the beleaguered Globe Awards are still in revival mode after years of scandal and organizational upheaval.

What is the Golden Globe Awards?
The Globe Awards are the first major ceremony of awards season. While they’re not exactly Oscar bells and whistles, they’re known for a few things: hard-drinking, sometimes irreverent partying, and a lavish collection of TV and film’s biggest stars. Masu.
A Globe win helps build momentum for a movie or actor’s Oscar campaign. The awards, the first to be televised this year, are ahead of similar ceremonies such as the Screen Actors Guild Awards and the Broadcast Film Critics Association Awards, and this year will be held ahead of the Oscars, which will be held on March 2nd. It’s almost 2 months ago.

What will the stars eat at the Globes?
The Golden Globe Awards, known as the “Party of the Year,” brings back the celebrity-favorite Nobu Restaurants Group.
Chef Nobu Matsuhisa returns with several signature dishes, including the Gold Standard Roll, a sushi made of red king crab topped with salmon, gold flakes and caviar and served with yuzu sauce. This dish is available at the restaurant for $77.
Matsuhisa’s other dishes include seaweed tacos, yellowtail jalapeño, sashimi salad, three pieces of black cod and tuna, white fish, and salmon sushi.
“It’s like a harmony with caviar and jalapenos,” said Matsuhisa, who served the signature Japanese dish at last year’s ceremony.
