The UCLA Bruins and the defending champions South Carolina Gamecocks punched tickets Sunday for Tampa, Florida, Sunday for the national semi-finals at the 2025 Women’s NCAA Tournament.
First Team All-American Center The Bruins, led by Lauren Betts, defeated No. 3 LSU Tigers to reach the program’s first final four. This year’s Big Dance was also the first seed for UCLA to be the entire seed.
Meanwhile, Gamecocks has returned to their fifth consecutive year and seventh semi-finals since their first appearance in 2015. This includes three national championship wins. Dawn Staley’s team survived another tight contest in the Elite 8, longer than the second Duke Blue Devils, and now they’ve won two wins from a historic March Madness repetition.
The other two final four berths will be awarded Monday. No. 1 Texas Longhorns meet the No. 2 TCU horn frog in a phenomenal showdown, and the No. 1 USC Trojan without Juju Watkins faces No. 2 UConn Huskies.
