23 people arrested in connection with retail theft in Southern California

23 suspects have been arrested in connection with a major retail theft over Black Friday weekend in Ventura County.

The attack took place over several days at the Camarillo Premium Outlets from November 29th to December 1st, according to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office.

Officers recovered approximately $9,000 worth of stolen property, as well as methamphetamine and burglary tools used in the theft.

The suspects were identified as:

David Murillo, 18, Oxnard Esteban Giraldo, 19, Gardena Carson Nye, 19, Santa Barbara Haik Adamian, 21, North Hills Vahram Alshakyam, 21, Burbank Jesus Edgar Rodriguez Lopez, 24, Los Angeles Laurie Gonzalez Cuevas, 24, Los Angeles Blanca Maribel Rodriguez Barrios, 26, Los Angeles Edelin Rodriguez Vega, 27, Los Angeles Sherzodvek Sulaimanov, 30, Santa Barbara Lance Yains, 35, Panorama City Crystal Gorgoian, 35, Panorama City Guillermo Garcia Duarte, 35, Delano Lorena Buitrago, 37 , Los Angeles Arsen Dilanian, 38, Burbank Liliana Diaz, 39, Los Angeles Jenny Aguilar, 42, Gardena Martha Zamora, 55, Los Angeles Dean Hardy, 56, Las Vegas Juan Albaiza, 60, Oxnard Juvenile, 14, Sylmar Juvenile, 15, Winnetka Juvenile; 17 years old, Santa Barbara

A large group of suspects were arrested on a variety of charges including retail theft, criminal conspiracy, possession of stolen property, child endangerment, possession of drug paraphernalia, and grand larceny.

“This three-day Black Friday weekend event was a collaborative effort between law enforcement, outlet retailers, and outlet security personnel,” the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.

Jesús Edgar Rodríguez López and Blanca Maribel Rodríguez Barrios were also charged with child endangerment for involving their 1-month-old infant in the theft, authorities said. They are said to be exposed to the danger of

A second couple, Lance Yains and Crystal Gorgoianfor, also face similar charges for involving an 8-year-old child, officials said.

The three boys were arrested on shoplifting charges and later released to their families.

The Ventura County Organized Retail Theft Task Force is comprised of detectives from various agencies within Ventura County and focuses on combating organized retail theft, vehicle/vehicle part theft, and cargo theft.

“The task force will work with retailers, law enforcement and the public to identify, locate and apprehend criminals involved in these types of crimes, while providing a safe environment for everyone. “We are aiming to do so,” the sheriff’s office said.
