Three people, including three uninvolved people from San Bernardino County, were killed in a crash crash involving a motorcyclist trying to escape from sheriff’s deputies, authorities confirmed with KTLA.
The tragic incident unfolded around 10:30am when deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Office tried to put a traffic stop on a motorcyclist for reckless driving in Redlands.
“The motorcycle driver didn’t run away from his deputies, he just fled,” SBSD spokesman Mara Rodriguez said in a statement to the KTLA. “The motorcycle driver collided with me. [with] A vehicle on Redlands Boulevard near Tennessee Street. ”
All three involved in the crash were declared dead.
In footage of the aftermath of the crash, what appears to be a black Toyota Prius is seen overturned on the streets along with numerous deputies and medical personnel with fire stations at the scene.

Debris from the collision were scattered throughout the street, and items from inside the Toyota Prius appeared to have spilled from the vehicle either as a result of the impact, or when the crew extracted the victim.
The intersection was persecuted while investigators were working at the scene, but it is unclear where the motorcycle stopped after the high-speed crash.
SBSD officials did not say whether the deputies began pursuing the motorcycle driver, but only attempted to stop traffic.
Furthermore, no information is provided regarding the age or gender of those killed in the violent clashes.
Pio Rodriguez said California Highway Patrol investigators are investigating the incident.
