Investigators are seeking the public’s help in finding additional victims who may have been in contact with a 30-year-old man accused of sexual abuse he met through Instagram.
Burbank police arrested Ivan Hernandez from Valley Village on March 23, received hints and investigated alleged drug activity. Authorities said in a news release Thursday that Hernandez was found in a car along with a minor girl. He was arrested for suspected child danger and possessing nitrous oxide.
Police say detectives learned that Hernandez supplies minors with nitrous oxide, marijuana and alcohol in exchange for sexual activity. Hernandez is believed to have recorded a sexual assault on his phone and was able to seduce the victim on Instagram with a promise to provide drugs and alcohol for sex, investigators said.
Police say Hernandez’s Instagram handles include “Noznbars”, “N2Ohead”, “nawzhead818”, “nozzhead_818” and “nozzhead818_”, which believes there will be more casualties.
On March 25, he was charged with multiple felony counts of three illegal gender with minors under the age of 16, and two arrangements to meet minors for indecent purposes.
He is in custody without bail and is scheduled to appear in court on May 21st. He pleaded not guilty to all charges, according to court records.
Anyone with information about Hernandez and other similar cases can contact Burbank Police Station at (818) 238-3210. The police investigation was conducted in cooperation with a Homeland Security Investigation based on the Children’s Task Force on Los Angeles Regional Internet Crime.
