Four suspects have been arrested for attempted murder after a man was shot and killed in Riverside County.
Four suspects, all Lake Elsinore residents, were identified as follows:
Robert Flores, 18 Jonathan Juarez, 19 Alberto Garcia, 20 17-year-old men
In December 2024, deputies responded to a fatal weapon assault on Lake Elsinore. Deputies arrived and found the victim of a man with a gunshot wound to his leg.
The victim said he was walking to his home from a local convenience store when he heard the gunshot and realized he had been shot. The suspect fled the scene before authorities arrived.

The Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s special enforcement team, along with the Region 4 gang task force, has begun an investigation into the incident. During the investigation, detectives learn that a local street gang “conspired and eventually committed an assault.”
In February 2025, search warrants were provided at several private locations where all four suspects were arrested in connection with the shooting.
The 17-year-old was arrested for attempted murder. Three other suspects were arrested for conspiracy and attempted murder.
Details of the motivation behind the shooting and the relationship between the suspect and the victim were not released. Authorities are calling for gang-related strengthening for the incident.
