The 41-year-old man was charged with murder in connection with a “physical altercation” in Pomona last month, officials said.
Officials at the Pomona Police Station said the violence allegedly unfolded in the Westholt Avenue and Short Street areas on March 26th.
Officers were called to the scene for reporting victims of assault requiring CPR. The victim, an unidentified man, was rushed to the hospital in danger.
“A preliminary investigation revealed that two male adults were involved in a physical altercation at the location,” police said. “During the fight, the victim fell to the ground and became unconscious. The suspect left the place.”

The detective, who has a major crime force in the PPD, took on the case and after a thorough investigation, identified the suspect as Oliver Jacobs Jr., of Pomona.
Patrol officers arrested Jacobs on April 26th, the month after the fatal incident.
Police say the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office has determined that there is sufficient evidence to charge a 41-year-old child with murder.
No additional details were provided, such as motives for the fight or whether the weapon could have been used during the incident.
