The 66-year-old Riverside County man was arrested earlier this month, allegedly pretending to be a lawyer during a court case, and investigators believe he may have additional victims.
On April 16, the suspect’s highland resident Eric Polas Rivera fled Riverside County Courthouse after being warned that he was not actually a lawyer.
An investigation into the case was opened and reportedly Rivera is representing herself as a licensed lawyer in Orange County and collecting vassal fees from her clients.

A warrant was issued for Rivera’s arrest and he was later detained at his residence in the 200 block of West 9th Avenue in Upland, Riverside County Sheriff’s Office officials said in a news release.

During the search of the home, authorities said lawmakers had recovered multiple pieces of evidence related to the alleged crime.
The 66-year-old was booked to practice law without licence, pretending to be false, theft, robbery and license, at Robert Presley Detention Center.
Detectives said they believe Rivera’s investigation is ongoing and that there may be additional casualties.
