Exclusive: Rep. Carlos Jimenez, a member of the House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), says China is the “biggest threat” to the United States and that President-elect Donald Trump “will not bring peace by force, but by force.” Probably.” Peace through appeasement. ”

Jimenez, R-Florida, told Fox News Digital that the Chinese Communist Party is “an enemy that must be monitored militarily and economically.”

“China is making great strides around the world,” Jimenez said, pointing in particular to its ability to produce defense materials and weapons. “It exceeds that of the United States, but we find ourselves lacking.”

“This shows that if we have a prolonged war with China, we could run out of ammunition fairly quickly,” he said, adding that China “has the ability to produce far more ships than we do. “I have the ability,” he warned.

Jimenez said the United States is “trying to play catch-up.”

“We must reinvent the way we do business at the Department of Defense, become more agile, engage the private sector, and eliminate the bureaucracy that hinders our ability to protect ourselves,” he said. Ta.

However, Jimenez criticized the Biden administration, particularly President Biden and Secretary of State Antony Blinken, for their approach to the China threat.

“I think China, along with Mr. Biden and Mr. Blinken, thought they could do whatever they wanted or they could fool them,” he said. “Whereas the Biden administration was constantly trying to show weakness and appease its enemies, Mr. Trump knows exactly who our friends are and who our enemies are, and he is putting America’s security first.”

“He understands that America’s security lies in peace through force, not peace through appeasement,” Jimenez added.

Regarding confronting threats in the coming months, Jimenez pointed to the importance of the United States becoming energy independent.

“I want the United States to be the world’s energy faucet. The United States is where the world goes to get its energy,” Jimenez said.

“It will improve our financial position, our balance sheet, and give us the ability to help our friends and weaken our enemies,” he said.

“We will be able to use our energy advantage as an economic weapon against our enemies, helping our friends and hurting our enemies,” he continued. “Replacing Iranian and Venezuelan oil with American oil, and Russian oil with American oil, could starve the largest source of revenue for countries allied with China and hinder their ability to support China.” .”

“If China becomes isolated in the world, I think that’s the best way to contain this threat,” he said. “But we must show strength and willingness to stand up to the Chinese Communist Party’s aggression.”

Regarding the House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party, he said, “There is still a lot of work to do.”

“The threat from China is growing,” he said, adding that the commission is bipartisan in nature and that members on both sides “accept the recognition that China is a threat and will continue to be a threat.” “There is,” he pointed out.

“It’s not climate change, it’s China’s problem,” he said. “And we must confront that threat or live in a world ruled by the Chinese Communist Party.”

“And Mr. Trump intends to project strength and back up his words with actions.”
