EXCLUSIVE – Former Georgia Sen. Kelly Loeffler will make her first visit to the U.S. Capitol since President-elect Trump nominated her to helm the Small Business Administration (SBA) for his second term in the White House.
Fox News reported that Loeffler will meet with about a dozen Republican senators on Tuesday. Among the people she will meet with are Sen. John Barrasso of Wyoming, who is third in the Republican Senate leadership and the next majority leader, and Joni Barrasso of Iowa, the incoming chair of the Senate Small Business Committee. This includes Senator Ernst.
Mr. Loeffler was born into a family of small business owners and entrepreneurs and grew up working on his family’s farm in Illinois. After being the first in her family to graduate from college, she built a career working in the private sector for nearly 30 years.
Together with her husband, Jeff, Ms. Loeffler has built a Fortune 500 financial services and technology company from 100 to 15,000 employees.

Ms. Loeffler and her husband have long been big donors to Republican causes and candidates, including Mr. Trump. Loeffler will serve as co-chair of the president-elect’s inaugural committee.
When President Trump announced his nomination to head the SBA, he called Loeffler, a longtime ally, a “formidable warrior.”
