Robert F. Kennedy Jr. will be asked to explain some of the Republican beliefs about agriculture and food production that protect the state’s agricultural industry. This could hinder a smooth confirmation if he fails to address their concerns.
“They have to be able to use modern farming techniques, which involves a lot of things like fertilizers and pesticides, as well as very sophisticated equipment. We have to have a conversation,” Sen. John Hoeven, R-N.D., told reporters.
“I’m always going to stand up for farmers and ranchers.”

Alabama Sen. Tommy Tuberville told reporters on Tuesday that he plans to question President Trump about pesticide use before meeting with his nominee to head the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
Kennedy seemed to address any concerns, as Tuberville then wrote to X, “Our meeting reaffirmed what I already knew: RFK Jr. We are the right people to ensure food safety, bring transparency to vaccines and health care, and help make America “Make America” and healthy. ”

While some Republicans are concerned about the impact of Kennedy’s positions on agriculture, his stance on food safety has some appeal to some Democrats, who need to see his vote confirmed. There is a possibility that there is.
Many Democratic senators told Fox News Digital that they were interested in Kennedy’s ideas on food regulation, but none said they had yet scheduled a meeting.

“His approach to food and nutrition is more direct and could probably be more successful than continuing the way we’ve always done it,” Colorado Sen. John Hickenlooper told Fox News. told Digital.
