House members voted Friday to approve a newly negotiated spending bill. The bill contained many of the same elements as the previous bill, but did not include the debt covenants that had upset many within the party.
Republican leaders shared the document late Friday, shortly before lawmakers approved the spending bill 366-34.
Lawmakers were scrambling to find a way forward after the original bill was vetoed by President-elect Trump and his allies on Wednesday, and a later Trump-approved bill died in the full House on Thursday. .

The bill, unlike the version that was rejected Thursday night, removes the debt limit extension sought by President-elect Donald Trump, including a two-year moratorium on the debt limit.
The proposal failed to gain support among Democrats and fiscal conservatives in the Republican Party, who were widely opposed to the proposal.
The new bill includes provisions included in the previous bill, including $10 billion in aid to farmers and farm subsidies, which were considered must-pass provisions by many lawmakers. .
It also includes $100 billion in disaster relief for U.S. residents, including victims of devastating hurricanes in some U.S. states.
“We will not shut down the government, and we will continue to meet our obligations to farmers in need, disaster victims across the country, our military and essential services, and everyone who depends on the federal government.” Your salary will be paid during the holidays,” House Speaker Mike Johnson told reporters before Friday’s vote.
