Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) said Sunday he “couldn’t be happier” about President-elect Trump’s Cabinet nominees and would work to get them passed as soon as possible.
During an appearance on “Sunday Morning Futures,” Paul was asked if he supported everything Trump chose for his aides, and the senator said, “I couldn’t have made a better choice.” answered.
“I intend to support the majority from day one,” the senator said. “We’re going to try to get Kristi Noem through Homeland Security, Russ Vought. [Office of Management and Budget]. …I think we’ll get six approved in the first week. ”
Paul said he would manage one of the committees responsible for approving candidates, adding: “I am committed to approving them as soon as possible.”
