President-elect Trump appears to have agreed with Elon Musk in supporting H-1B visas for skilled workers in the United States, amid encouragement from the right in the ongoing immigration debate.

“I’ve always loved visas, I’ve always been for visas, and that’s why we have visas,” Trump told the New York Post on Saturday.

President Trump said he was aware of the visas being issued on his property, saying, “I’ve always believed in H-1B. I’ve used it many times. It’s a great program.”

Musk further strengthened his position, attacking Company X on Friday after a user showed him a video discussing SpaceX’s process for pursuing Musk’s position on the visa program.

“H1B is the reason I’m in America with so many critical people who created SpaceX, Tesla, and hundreds of other companies that made America strong,” Musk wrote about X.

He also cited the 2008 action-comedy film “Tropic Thunder,” which was a huge hit at the box office.

“Take a big step back and get yourself in the face,” Musk fumed.
