The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department arrested two men and two women on suspicion of possessing drugs for sale during an “extensive” investigation that lasted nearly two weeks.
According to a release issued by SBSD, the investigation began just before 12:30 a.m. on Dec. 23, 2024, when two officers stopped a 2006 BMW for having an expired registration.
Law enforcement discovered that Jessica Hernandez, who was a passenger in the back seat of the car, had a warrant for her arrest for drug sales.
“When I inspected the vehicle, [the deputies] “We located large amounts of methamphetamine, heroin, cocaine, fentanyl, multiple digital scales, large amounts of U.S. currency indicating the sale of narcotics, and other items,” SBSD said in a statement.

As a result, Hernandez, 36, was arrested along with two others, 35-year-old John Guzman and 39-year-old Claudia Diaz. All three were booked into Central Jail on multiple felony drug trafficking charges.
Further investigation led to the identification of a fourth suspect, named David Preciado, 41, of San Bernardino. On Sunday, a search warrant was executed at his residence near Tippecanoe Street and Ninth Avenue, leading to his arrest and the seizure of suspected meth, digital scales, and a large amount of other items indicative of drug sales. Preciado was arrested at the Central Detention Center on a charge of drug possession with intent to sell.
