Photos have been circulating since the fire first broke out on January 7th, as have moving and emotional stories. The couple’s first date at Moonshadows in Malibu in the ’90s, or their weekly lunches with old co-workers at the Fox in Altadena.
A hike to the charming Will Rogers Ranch House, an overnight stay at the Topanga Ranch Motel, and a quick hammer pick-up at Altadena Hardware are the kinds of outings, trips, and errands that Southern Californians have experienced for decades.
These buildings are among the thousands lost in the fire.
The Los Angeles Conservancy has put together a list of buildings destroyed in the fire on social media, asking people to contact the organization if they know of any other historic buildings that have been lost.
“As access is restricted and the extent of the damage remains unclear, we are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying additional losses.”
Appearing on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” Jamie Lee Curtis spoke emotionally about the Los Angeles wildfires and implored others to help in any way they can.
“If you know of any other historic sites that have been lost, or would like to connect with someone on our team, please let us know.”
