Police are investigating after three Humvees, one of which was an armored vehicle, and a large amount of military equipment were stolen from the Army Reserve Center in Tustin.
According to the Tustin Police Department, unknown suspects broke into a storage warehouse between 8:00 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. on January 8th.
Detectives later discovered multiple storage lockers with unlocked keys and missing equipment, the report said.
The police department said, “An attempt was made to unlock the uniform storage room, but it was unsuccessful.” “The locks were picked to gain access to the military vehicle parking lot and three Humvees were stolen.”
Police said they have been informed by the Army that no weapons or ammunition other than the following have been confirmed as missing.
