Police confirmed to KTLA that officers detained two people at Vice President Kamala Harris’ home in Brentwood during curfew hours Saturday.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, at around 4:40 a.m., the West LA Police Department received a report of a suspected robbery at the Vice President’s property.
Officers responded to a residence on Bundy Drive north of Sunset Drive and found two people inside the property.
Some reports have described the subjects as two men dressed all in black, but police have not yet confirmed those details.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, officers detained two people for violating curfew, but released them because no evidence of a crime was found.
Details are extremely limited, and police did not immediately say what the two men were doing on the vice president’s property or whether the incident would be investigated further.
Los Angeles Police Department, Santa Monica Police Department, Airport Police National Guard members and local police will continue to patrol the fire area from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. and are prepared to make arrests for trespassing, looting, and all other types of violations. and warned residents to be careful.
More communities in Brentwood and the San Fernando Valley were also under concern as the Palisades Fire began moving inland over the mountains on Friday and Saturday.
The Palisades Fire, already one of the most destructive natural disasters in Los Angeles history, broke out on Tuesday, January 7th. As of Saturday night, the fire had claimed five lives, burned 23,654 acres and was 11% contained. More than 5,000 structures, including many homes, were destroyed in the Pacific Palisades and Malibu.
