The Weeknd has canceled his Jan. 25 concert at the Rose Bowl “in honor” of those affected by the Southern California wildfires.
“Out of respect and concern for the people of Los Angeles County, I am canceling my Rose Bowl concert originally scheduled for January 25th,” the “Call Out My Name” singer said in a statement on Instagram Monday.

The “One Night Only” show was designed to promote the Toronto, Canada native’s upcoming album, “Hurry Up Tomorrow,” which was scheduled to be released on January 24th. He even pushed back the project’s release to January 31st.

“The City has always been a deep source of inspiration for me and my thoughts are with everyone affected during this difficult time,” he continued. “With this in mind, we have also decided to postpone the release of the album to January 31st.”

“We remain focused on helping these communities recover and supporting these amazing people as they rebuild,” he said.
The Weeknd (real name Abel Tesfaye) has announced that he will play a “one night only” show in Pasadena in early December.
“Harry Up Tomorrow” is the final chapter in the singer’s trilogy, following 2020’s “After Hours” and 2022’s “Dawn FM.”
