LOS ANGELES (KTLA) – Two men are wanted in connection with a violent robbery in Los Angeles County in which a victim was robbed at gunpoint and tens of thousands of dollars in jewelry was stolen, authorities announced Thursday.
The horrific incident occurred around 10:15 a.m. on Jan. 11 in the 7600 block of Firestone Boulevard in Downey, according to a news release from Downey Police Department investigators.
According to police, the two suspects entered Gold Dream Fine Jewelry and asked to see merchandise, but as the clerk was serving customers, one of the suspects tackled and gagged the clerk. He allegedly forced the suspect into the back stock room brandishing a firearm. The other suspect ransacked the store.
In a photo released by investigators, one of the suspects can be seen holding a gun to the victim’s head as he lay on the ground with his hands raised.
Authorities say the two were able to flee with more than $100,000 in gold, jewelry and watches.

Detectives believe the two suspects may be of Central American or South American descent and should be considered armed and dangerous.
Suspect 1 is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 25 to 35 years old, 5 feet 6 inches to 6 feet tall, weighing approximately 160 to 180 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

He was wearing a red Champion crewneck sweatshirt, dark jeans, a black cap, and black Nike sneakers.
Suspect #2 is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 25 to 35 years old, 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing approximately 160 to 180 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
He was wearing a black Nike hoodie, black athletic pants, a black Nike cap, and white and orange sneakers.
