According to reports, President-elect Trump is discussing with his aides the possibility of visiting China again as president.
The president-elect, who takes office on Monday, visited Beijing during his first term in 2017 and spoke by phone with Chinese President Xi Jinping on Friday.
President Trump has threatened to impose tariffs on China, but he has told his advisers that he wants to use this visit to strengthen ties with the communist country, and in some cases may travel to China within his first 100 days in office. The Wall Street Journal reported, citing sources familiar with the matter.
“I just spoke with President Xi Jinping of China. The meeting was very good for both China and the United States,” Trump wrote on Truth Social on Friday. “I hope we can solve many problems together and get started soon. We talked about balance on trade, fentanyl, TikTok, and many other topics. We will do our best to make it more peaceful and safe!”

He did not say whether they had discussed the visit.
FOX News Digital has reached out to Trump’s transition team for comment.
The newspaper reported that there is a possibility that Mr. Xi will visit the White House.

Mr. Xi also met with President Trump in 2017 at Mar-a-Lago, Florida.
Xi was invited to attend President Trump’s inauguration on Monday, but Chinese Vice President Han Zheng will be taking his place for the first time, although no senior Chinese official has ever attended a U.S. presidential inauguration.
China said President Trump and President Xi planned to establish strategic communication channels, it said of Friday’s phone call, adding that President Trump said he “looks forward to speaking with President Xi as soon as possible.”
