Red flag parking regulations will be implemented in the Los Angeles and Pasadena areas on Monday due to extremely dangerous fire conditions expected.
The restrictions in Los Angeles will go into effect at 8 a.m. and remain in place “until further notice,” the Los Angeles Fire Department said in a statement.
Parking restrictions are in place to improve access for first responders during a fire and to keep roads clear in the event of an evacuation order.
“Chiefs were asked to identify areas such as very narrow roads, hairpin and sharp curves, and major intersections that could create choke points if vehicles are not removed,” the fire department said on its website. said.

Pasadena Fire Chief Chad Augustin also issued red flag parking regulations in the city. Unless the situation changes, the warning will be in effect from 8 a.m. Monday to 6 p.m. Tuesday.
The restrictions come as Southern California prepares for another powerful Santa Ana storm.
