Firefighters battled a blaze at a commercial building in downtown Los Angeles early Tuesday morning.
The Los Angeles Fire Department issued an alert at 7:40 a.m. to a fire in a two-story building at 1426 South Paloma Street near East 14th Street.
Footage from the Citizen app showed large plumes of black smoke rising into the morning sky as commuters passed through downtown.

By the time Sky5 arrived on scene, firefighters were aware of the situation. However, the blaze appears to have damaged a boat and food truck parked outside the building, as well as two vehicles parked on an adjacent street.

There appears to be no major damage to the building itself, which is said to house a flooring company.

It took crews less than 30 minutes to extinguish the blaze, and it was not immediately known if anyone was injured in the incident.
The cause of the fire is unknown, and crews will remain at the scene to carry out overhaul work.
