A wildfire broke out near Castaic Wednesday morning.
The fire, dubbed the Hughes Fire, was announced by the Angeles National Forest just before 10:45 a.m.

Officials said the fire was located “off Lake Hughes Road north of Castaic Reservoir Road.”
CalFire’s initial estimate was that the fire was about 50 acres, and by nearly 11:30 a.m. it had grown to about 100 acres.
Evacuations have been ordered for areas near Castaic Lake, and evacuation advisories have been issued for other nearby areas.
