Trump administration’s ICE rounds up hundreds of arrests, including illegal immigrants arrested for terror crimes

First on FOX: Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested more than 460 undocumented immigrants with criminal records including sexual assault, domestic violence, and drug and weapons offenses during the early days of the Trump administration.

According to information obtained by Fox News Digital, during a 33-hour period between midnight on January 21 and 9 a.m. on January 22, ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) conducted an investigation into sexual assault, robbery, aggravated robbery, and aggravated robbery. More than 460 foreigners were arrested, including those with criminal records. Assault, drug/weapons offenses, resisting arrest or domestic violence.

Investigators arrested nationals of numerous countries, including Afghanistan, Angola, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Senegal, and Venezuela.

Arrests were made across the United States, including in Illinois, Utah, California, Minnesota, New York, Florida, and Maryland.

Arrests include:

– Jesus Perez, a Mexican national, was arrested in Salt Lake City on suspicion of aggravated sexual abuse of a child.

– Honduran national Franklin Osorto Cruz, convicted of drunk driving. He was arrested in New York.

– Camaro Denver Hay, a Jamaican national, was arrested on charges of “promoting a sexual act by a child under 17 years of age and possessing or viewing a sexual act by a child under 16 years of age.”

– Jesus Baltazar Mendoza, a Mexican national, was found guilty of second-degree assault of a child. He was arrested in St. Paul.

– Andrés Orjuela Parra, a Colombian national arrested in San Francisco. He was convicted of sexually inserting a foreign object into an unsuspecting victim.

– Six illegal immigrants from Guatemala to Miami. His criminal history includes assault, child abuse, fraud, resisting arrest, drunk driving, trespassing and vandalism.

Meanwhile, FOX News’ Bill Melgin was on the scene in Boston, where investigators arrested multiple MS-13 gang members, Interpol Red Notices, and murder and rape suspects.

The arrests come as the Trump administration moves rapidly to fulfill its promise to launch a historic large-scale deportation operation, primarily, but not exclusively, targeting public It says it will focus on threats to security.

On January 22, 2025, ICE-ERO New York City arrested Jose Roberto Rodriguez Urbina, 22 years old, a national of El Salvador. This week, the administration made a number of moves to make that happen, including a series of executive orders by President Trump and subsequent Cabinet actions.

Fox News reported Wednesday that the Department of Homeland Security lifted limits on expedited removal powers, a day after rescinding a Biden administration-era memo that limited where ICE could conduct enforcement operations.

“As of today, we have a team,” Homan said on “America’s Newsroom” on Tuesday. “We have directed them to prioritize the public safety threats that we are looking for. We have been developing a target list.”

“It is simply a threat to public safety and a threat to illegal immigrants who have been arrested and convicted of serious crimes,” he said. “But let me be clear: It’s not just people who are a threat to public safety that get arrested, because in a sanctuary city, we don’t allow people who are a threat to public safety to go to jail. That means we have to find him.” ”
