Republican Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine) has pushed back against the Senate’s confirmation of President Donald Trump’s pick to lead the Pentagon, Pete Hegseth, citing a lack of experience and concerns about past comments about women. I have no intention of supporting it.

“While we appreciate his brave military service and continued commitment to service members and their families, we believe he does not have the experience or perspective necessary to be successful in his mission,” Collins said in a statement.
