The bill states that “a person who has been convicted of a crime, who admits to having committed, or who admits to having committed an act constituting a crime with the essential elements, including assaulting a law enforcement officer, is in the negative.” states.

“One of the best ways we can support law enforcement officers and protect the public is by deporting dangerous people who harm them,” Budd said in a statement on Fox News Digital.
“Our legislators must always support the men and women who protect and serve our communities. We must act on this important proposal.”

The bill includes Sen. Thom Tillis, RN.C. There are 12 co-sponsors in the upper chamber, including Steve Daines, R-Mont, Katie Britt, R-Ara, Ted Cruz, R-Texas, and James. Lankford R-Okla.

The bill comes after President Trump’s Laken Riley Act, which would require Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detention of undocumented immigrants charged with theft-related crimes, passed both chambers of Congress with bipartisan support. appeared the same week it was sent to his desk.
