The bodycam video, recorded by a sheriff’s agent, captured the moment he rescued a 100 -year -old woman during the evacuation of Altadena’s Eaton fire.
At a seemingly vacant nursing home, the agent Nicholas Martinez and Quinin Alconis ran through the hall and hit another room to guarantee that no one was inside. The window continued to swing through the retirement community of the Montesedro, so it shined orange from the destructive fire flame.
Suddenly, they heard a soft voice.
“Hello? Hello? Where are you?” While the pair is looking for the voice source, a deputy member of the parliament is heard.
After a while, they encountered a resident on the road with the help of her chair.
“Oh, Hello! Deputy Vice Bureau mentioned in the video.” Is there anyone else? “
“I’ve been trying to find a way,” the woman replied.
“Let’s get out of here,” Martinez replied.
“Don’t lose me, I’m 100,” said a woman.
Both agents were able to safely bring women out of the building. She later explained to them that the hearing aid was charged and hadn’t heard anything about the sudden evacuation call.
