The Senate will vote on Wednesday on whether or not to check the former member of Lee Zeldin to lead the government’s main organizations on environmental rules and regulations.
President Donald Trump tapped Zeldin, a member of the first parliament in New York from 2015 to 2023, and led the EPA under his administration. During the assignment in Congress, Zeldin, the Colonel of the Army reserve, has launched a campaign for the governor in New York, which tracked only 5 % points in a democratic nation.
Seldin was confirmed earlier this month when a member of the Senate Environment and Public Business Committee asked a question about climate change.
The Senate voted for Zeldin on Wednesday afternoon, ending his nomination. The Chamber of Commerce will proceed to the final floor voting.

If it is confirmed on Wednesday, Zeldin will investigate environmental issues, lead an institution that provides support to a wide range of environmental projects, and establish rules that match the government’s views on environmental protection and climate change.
When Zeldin was confirmed at a confirmation hearing, “I pledged to nurture a joint culture in an agency that supports career staff who focuses on this mission. Come.”
