Christie Noem, Secretary of Land Security, announced on Wednesday that her agency has canceled the expansion of the Biden era of the depth protection for Venezuela’s immigration.

TPS acknowledges protection from expulsion of abroad and permits the work permission to work in the United States from a country, which is regarded as not safe to return. Mayorkas has announced Venezuela’s TPS extensions and Erzalvador, Sudan and Ukraine extensions for another 18 months.
Venezuela’s expansion has been applied to about 600,000 people who have already covered by TPS, but does not allow new applications. This extension will further complicate the Trump administration’s efforts to export illegal immigrants from Venezuela, given the rise of Toren de Aragua (TDA) from Venezuela.
