The bill introduced by the Washington Congress will require drivers with a history of speeding to place a speed -limited device in the car.

The bill is subject to the House Transport Committee on Thursday, and according to Fox 13, it is necessary to set up an “intelligent speed assistance device” in a specific driver’s car.
This device uses GPS technology to limit the speed of the car and accompanies the speed limit of the vehicle driven. These drivers may exceed the speed limit up to three times a month.
The driver has a device on the car if you have a new restricted license established by the bill. This is similar to how the ignition interlock device is used for people with the history of drunk driving.

The driver also receives the device during the career observation period after the license is suspended for racing or “excessive speed violation”. “We have lost the Washington, and the family unnecessarily, tragic, and prevented their loved ones,” said Representative Mali Reebit, a major sponsor of the bill.

“Between 2019 and 2024, tickets for speed violation drivers at more than 50 miles per hour have increased by 200 %,” said the committee Sherry Baldwin testified. “So, I know this is an increase problem we have handled.”
The Republican State Congress, Gloria Mendoza, questioned how the bill continues to drive, how the bill helps people safely.
“So we are trying to help them regain their license by providing this tool,” said Mendosa. “So how can this help save life?”
