Neighboring group chased a man who was suspected of causing a brush fire on Monday afternoon near the Caprician Reservoir, hugging him until the Los Angeles Security Officer arrived at the scene.

According to the LA County Service Bureau, Alejandro Martinez, 41, was arrested for alleged arson.

A video journalist GABE Cortez posted on Instagram, showing a man running on a road chased by a group of car residents. Several members of the group physically detained Martinez.

By the time Cortes arrived at the scene, a firefighter had caused a fire, but later he noticed a car group after the suspect on the way.

“He had avoided the group following him,” Cortes told Times. “He was telling them to give him, and you can see that someone starts chasing him and looks scary in my video.”

According to the Safety Bureau, when the agent arrived at the scene, they found Martinez lying on the ground. The witness said he surrendered and laid on the ground.

When someone handcuffed him, “The wrong neighborhood, buddy,” someone said.

The group witnessed Martinez lit a brush fire near the napranchoload and Woolsie Cany Road, and later said he had followed him when he tried to leave the area.

Residents are said to have shown Cortes videos recorded on their mobile phones, indicating that the suspect’s setting brush was ignited near the house.

“I am grateful to God that there was no strong wind. Because it could have worsened,” Cortes said. “Given the recent fires, the community and people are now much more aware of these types, and they are highly vigilant.”

The security officer told the News Station KNBC-TV that a suspect wearing dark clothes was found in the area when the fire began. The news station reported that the case was reported in the car when he tried to start a second fire. The Safety Bureau later revealed that witnesses had just saw Martinez grabbed one fire.

According to LAFD’s spokesman LYNDSEY LANTZ, the Los Angeles Fire Department supports the 24,000 blocks of Wool Sea Cany Road just before 4:30 pm, and the first estimation is a spots of 50 x 50 feet. I reported smoke near.

Firefighters on the ground and in the air could contain flames with the help of the LA county fire department.

Martinez is held at the Lost Hills Service Station with a $ 75,000 bail. Authorities said that they had a warrant to Martinez’s arrest, but did not provide additional details. He will appear in a criminal court on Wednesday.

Anyone who has information about the case can call the sheriff’s arson/explosive unit (323) 881-7500.
