On Friday morning, a tractor trailer tilted on the 60 highway in Moreno Valley, spilling an alfalfa, blocking everything except one lane.
According to the California Highway Patrol, it happened at 10:20am in the westbound lane when the trailer swayed forward and the jackknife became a “V” shape.
Authorities have not yet confirmed how the truck is speeding.
The driver emerged from the vehicle with minor injuries and was taken to the hospital. No other cars were involved in the crash.
Officers closed two of the three lanes, leaving only HOVs that only drivers could narrow down, creating miles of traffic jams.
Another rig was sent to get Alfalfa and carry it to your destination, but there is no immediate timeline for continuous cleanup.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation, but authorities suspect that the Gusty-like culprit.
“It’s a big rig that’s fully loaded and we didn’t drive that fast, but it’s overturned by these gusts of wind that we’re suffering from,” said CHP’s Rodrigo Zimenez.
