(Hill) – President Trump said he would cancel former President Biden’s security clearance and stop the former prime minister’s daily intelligence briefing.
“There’s no need for Joe Biden to continue access to the classified information. So we’ll soon revoke Joe Biden’s security clearance and stop daily intelligence briefings,” Trump said on Friday’s True Social. It was announced in the post.
Trump said in 2021 that his predecessor “instructed the Intelligence Reports Community (IC) to block access to the courtesy details provided to the former president.”
“I don’t think he needs to explain his intelligence,” Biden said at the time. “What is the value of giving him an intelligence briefing? What impact does he have at all besides the fact that he might slip something and say something? ?”
Trump also referred to Robert Herr’s 2024 report. This provided insight into how Biden handles confidential materials.
“The Hur report revealed that Biden suffered from “poor memories” and that even his “Prime” could not be trusted with confidential information,” Trump said in the Post. “I will always protect our national security. Joe, you are fired. Make America great again!
Since taking office in January, Trump has also revoked various security measures for other officials who criticized him. At one point he was threatened by Iran after the murder of Iranian general Qasem Soleimani in 2020.
He ended Secret Service protections for former national security adviser John Bolton last month. Trump has drawn up security protections for former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Hill reported.
Presidential Secretary of Defense Pete Hegses has given up on security clearance and security details for the former chairman of General Mark Millie’s joint chief.
This week, Trump also pulled out details about former Defense Secretary Mark Esper’s security provided by the Department of Defense.
