The FGF brand voluntly recalls 60 donut products, affecting more than 2 million pastries sold nationwide.
A report from the Food and Drug Administration said that donut products distributed nationwide in the US and Canada have been recalled due to potential contamination from Listeria monocytogenesis.
On February 5, the FDA classified the recalls that began on January 7th as Class II. According to the FDA, a classification is given if the product is “a place where it can cause temporary or medically reversible health effects or the probability of serious adverse effects is far away.” .
All of this product was produced before December 13th, 2024 and includes pastries of grades on a variety of food items, including multiple donut flavors, PąCzkis, cinnamon sticks, French crewers, and apple fritters.

According to the FDA, Listeria monocytogenesis is “a type of disease-causing bacteria that can be found in many places.” When consumed, a person can develop listeriosis.
Literiopathy causes a variety of symptoms with different FDAs and varies in severity. This disease can be present as non-invasive gastrointestinal listeriosis or invasive and more severe listeriosis.
If it is not very serious, a person can develop mild symptoms such as fever, muscle pain, nausea, and diarrhea, and FDA’s indications usually last for 1-3 days.
In more serious forms of disease, symptoms include headaches, stiff neck, confusion, loss of balance, and cramps. This case can be “life-threatening” in newborns, adults over 65 years of age, and adults with an infringement of the immune system.
The FGF brand has not made any information about the recall.
