On Sunday, a federal court heard a temporary detention blocking three Venezuelan immigrants from New Mexico from sending three Venezuelan immigrants to detention camps in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, as part of the president’s efforts to eliminate illegal immigrants from the United States. An order has been issued.

The trio’s lawyers said that detainees “fit the profiles of those that the administration prioritized for detention in Guantanamo: a Venezuelan man (falsely) was detained in the El Paso area. – He said he “fits the government’s profile” on charges of gang connections. “

In his filing, the lawyers sought a temporary restraining order in the US District Court in New Mexico to prevent the administration from flying to US military bases. The lawyer said “The mere uncertainty created by the government only surrounding legal proceedings and availability of access to lawyers is sufficient to approve a modest injunction.”

Judge Kenneth J. Gonzalez granted the temporary restraining order, according to lawyer Jessica Vosborough, who represents the three men.

“It’s short-term. This will be reviewed and fleshed out more over the next few weeks,” Bosborough told The Associated Press.

The application came as part of a lawsuit on behalf of three men filed by the Constitutional Rights Center, the American Civil Liberties Union of New Mexico, and the Las American Immigration Advisory Center.

Last week, Homeland Security Secretary Christie Noem and White House spokesman Caroline Leavitt said individually that flights carrying illegal immigrants who were detained had been sent to Guantanamo.

Immigration rights groups sent a letter Friday asking for access to people currently being held at the U.S. Navy Station, claiming that the base should not be used as a “legal black hole.” Guantanamo has been criticized around the world for his inhuman abuse, including interrogation tactics, and torture of detainees.

The immigrants are being detained at the Guantanamo detention camp, which was established for detainees in the aftermath of 9/11. The migrants have been separated from the 15 detainees who were already there, including those who plan the 2001 terrorist attack.

Trump has pledged to expand detention camps to hold up to 30,000 “illegal criminal aliens.”

Leavitt said Wednesday that since January 20th, more than 8,000 migrants have been arrested as part of a plan to illegally detain and deport immigrants from within the country, but the hundreds of those arrested have since been released to the US. But
