First on FOX: Two lawmakers in the House and Senate are introducing separate bills to slap restrictions on non-governmental organizations (NGOs) who they believe will undermine U.S. immigration law.

R-Texas Rep. Lance Gooden has reintroduced “protecting federal funds against human trafficking and smuggling laws,” but Sen. Bill Hagerty (R-Tenn.) has been involved in illegal immigration (FENCE). We have introduced amendment exemptions for networks that choose to enable the law. .

Hagerty’s bill ends the tax-exempt status of organizations supporting illegal immigration, and provides assistance, benefits, services, or other support to those who know that exemption organizations exist illegally in the United States. Request not to be involved. “

Trump’s ice limits the release of illegal immigrants in the move to shake off Biden’s “hangover”

“Tax-exempt status is a privilege, not a right. These organizations can maintain their tax-exempt status simply by halting these activities,” his office said in the release.

Army soldiers patrolled the US-Mexico border in Eagle Pass, Texas on January 24, 2025. President Donald Trump ordered Mexico and 1,500 service members as part of a gust of winds on the stairs to tackle immigration. .

Gooden’s bill prevents federal contracts and grants from being awarded to NGOs unless the Administration and Budget Office recognizes that they are not involved in human trafficking or smuggling. It also extracts tax-free status from organizations that knowingly violate federal law.

The bill also requires the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to develop written strategies and best practice guides for nonprofits and comply with the law.

Additionally, NGOs must go through a verification process to ensure that illegal immigrants are not receiving benefits.

“For years, non-governmental organizations have misused taxpayer dollars to promote illegal immigration pose as ‘humanitarian assistance’,” Gooden said in a statement. “The exploitation of American taxpayers will end under the Trump administration. The bill will fund an organization that is complicit in human trafficking and illegal border crossings, even a cent of hard-earned American taxes. I guarantee that you will do that.”

Amid long-standing concerns about the role of NGOs in supporting governments during the 2021-2024 immigration crisis at the tropical border, embracing immigrants, supporting them and potentially making final trips to them You can go to an NGO that has millions of dollars to destinations. Funds are provided through contracts and grants from the DHS, Health and Welfare and the Department of State.

Gooden has introduced many laws on this issue and has worked for years to bring attention to it.

DHS secretary Kristi Noem announced Wednesday that it had stopped funding nonprofits and promoted illegal immigration. This is part of the administration’s broad efforts to strengthen border security and crack down on illegal immigration.

“Many of these NGOs actually have infrastructure and operations set up in Mexico on that side of the border and tell them to come to them, Cain shows them.” So they are not only operating in the US, they are operating outside the US to make it easier for those who want to break our laws.”

Until the assessment is complete, Noem said “we are not spending another dime to help the country destruction.”

Last week, President Donald Trump signed an executive order calling for a review of all federal funds that go to NGOs. These two laws will step up restrictions beyond this administration. Meanwhile, the government is also frozen in the USAID as institutional funding is being reviewed for concerns about how the funds are being used.
