Looking for this Valentine’s Day love? The Best Friends Animal Society is giving Angelenos the opportunity to fall for a new furry friend who had a free adoption and a special Valentine’s Day sleepover from February 14th to 17th.
Whether you’re looking for a lifelong companion or want to share weekend love with your shelter pet, this event is a great way to make a difference in animal life.
For those who are not sure about their long-term commitment, cultivation is a great way to help animals in need, while checking for deeper connections. Valentine’s Day sleepover program allows participants to hug dogs and cats overnight (or more) and bring home a relationship and perhaps an eternal bond.
“Friday’s event is a great way to be featured in development,” Erinn O’Connor, PR specialist at Best Friends, said in an email: “If foster parents work well, individuals will be able to get a good idea of what they’re doing. They are invited to talk to their best friends team in Los Angeles about continuing to raise pets or continue to adopt whether it is suitable for them. Interested people will be able to stay out for a while, the best time to stay. You can pick up pets for it.”
Los Angeles’ Best Friends Animal Society has long been a shelter for troubled animals, evacuating pets who have been refuge in California wildfires.
Their life-saving mission is being expanded nationwide with the goal of making all US shelters non-killed facilities. Since its founding in 1984, the organization has helped reduce the number of animals euthanized in shelters from 17 million to 415,000 per year.
A wide variety of dogs and cats of all ages, sizes and personalities await their perfect match. All employers and overnight foster parents will receive a special Blue Buffalo gift bag filled with food and treats.
