Brewer said Guatemala has lost much of its workforce and many of the poor families trying to reach the US didn’t know there actually was a “legal” immigration route, and they Instead, they took cartels and others in words and paid thousands of dollars to be trafficked north.

“They said you could come with coyotes. [to the U.S.]and if you come here, if you take your kids, they’ll let you go,” Brewer said.

“So you know, there’s a huge educational gap on earth.”

Brewer also met with Raul Bellios of Conamigua, the national council for attention to immigration in Guatemala, and Sergio Samuel Vera Lopez, director of the Guatemala prison.

According to Brewer, Berrios, Lopez and others welcome immigrants and handle their families compared to those with innocent families and other issues that require government attention. You are trying to create an effective system.

“Looking at the root causes, we are also looking at the issue of corruption. Again, we are looking at the issue of climate resilience and concerns about lack of economic opportunities,” Harris said in 2021. I did.

Brewer says that Harris’ work made a difference and that her and her boss’s policies “empowered human traffickers,” half of Guatemala still has little education and is in extreme poverty. He said he lives there.

He said the previous State Department leaders are “misplaced resources” through USAID.

“We must first place resources to address the issues that are driving the multi-billion dollar trafficking industry. While walls, deportation and enforcement are essential, we will educate indigenous peoples about coyote truths. Doing so would be a devastating blow to modern humans,” Brewer said.

“Guatemala has not enforced domestic migration issues. Haitians and Venezuelans have been warned about the risks of migration, but there has been no enforcement at the time.”

“We need to arrest and enforcement, but we need resources. The prisons in Guatemala are already overcrowded and there are no immigrant beds available for enforcement,” Brewer added.
