Former Maritime Consultation to End the War in Ukraine

US Marine Corps veteran Chad Lovichok joins Fox News @Knight to discuss efforts to restore peace in Ukraine and Tarsi Gabbard’s confirmation as head of national intelligence.

Vice President JD Vance on Thursday said that if President Vladimir Putin fails to come to the negotiation table in a deal that guarantees peace in Ukraine, the US warned that it would not eliminate harsh sanctions or potential military action against Russia. It is being done.

Speaking to the Wall Street Journal, who first reported Vance’s comments, the vice president said that if Russia was unable to negotiate in good faith, it would “put US troops on the table” in Ukraine.

“There’s an economic tool for leverage,” Vance said. [and] Of course, there are military leverage tools that the US can use against Putin.

“I think there’s a deal where this deal comes out that will shock a lot of people,” Vance told the Journal.

Vance’s comments came the day before the vice president was expected to meet with Munich’s Ukrainian President Voldymir Zelensky. The debate will be closely monitored by European leaders to measure where President Trump stands to negotiate the end of the Russian-Ukraine war that has been nearly three years ago.

President Trump had what he called a “long” phone with Putin on Wednesday. This includes the Russian leader agreeing to start a war in Ukraine “quickly.”

Writing on the Truth Social of his Social Media Platform, Trump said the two leaders “agree to work closely together.”

“We also agreed to start negotiations with each team immediately, and we will start by calling Ukrainian President Zelensky to let him know the conversation., Director of CIA John Ratcliffe, National Security Advisor Michael Waltz, and ambassador and envoy Steve Witkoff, will lead negotiations that I feel will be strong and successful.”

Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio will lead the US delegation to the Munich Security Council, where Ukraine’s future will be the top item on the agenda.

Trump is vague about his specific intentions – other than suggesting that Ukraine, which Russia seized since annexing Crimea in 2014, is likely to be forced to transfer territory.

“The Ukrainian War must end,” Trump told reporters Thursday. “Young people have been killed at a level no one has seen since World War II. That’s a ridiculous war.”

Both Trump and the US Secretary of Defense have shattered Ukraine’s hopes to become part of Ukraine’s NATO this week. Including Crimea.

“I don’t see any way that a country in the Russian position can forgive… They can join NATO,” Trump said Thursday. “I don’t think that’s going on.”

When asked what he thought Russia should give up to reach the deal, he pointed out that discussion hadn’t started yet, “Maybe Russia has given up a lot, maybe they won’t.” did.

At NATO headquarters, Hegus said on Thursday that “it’s not just a concession to Vladimir Putin to be that of 2014 that everyone is rewind to what they want,” and that “it’s not just a point to realism like borders.” “I repeated. He said it was a real perception on earth.

However, he did not add that neither Russia nor Ukraine “will get everything they want,” but emphasized that “there are negotiations that were with both.”
