When a winter storm struck Southern California, workers at the Los Angeles fire station escaped narrowly before his car was rushed to the sea with debris rushes.
The man was driving along the Pacific Coast Highway around 5pm when fast-moving debris ran down the road and suddenly overwhelmed his SUV. Large rocks, mud and rough seas pushed his car across the highway.
The man acted quickly, as the car was propelled through the K-rail and fence, he ran out of the car and eventually left the cliff and into the sea.

The video captures a man walking safely back through a muddy sea as his surprised colleague walked to check on him. He suffered minor injuries during the ordeal and was taken to a local hospital as a precaution, Lafd said.
As winter storms pose a high risk of flooding, mud and debris flows to the area, authorities advise locals to be vigilant when traveling during dangerous weather.
“We ask all residents to avoid driving during peak storms and to take extreme care,” Lafd said.
