Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has approved the idea of abolishing property taxes across the state of Sunshine, but explained that there is a need for amendments to the constitution.
Now serving his second term after winning a decisive re-election victory in Florida’s 2022 governor’s contest, the governor, has advocated for the abolition of the state’s property tax and what to do to make it happen. I was responding to someone from X asking if I needed to.
“Asset taxes are local, not states, so there is a need to amend the constitution (it must be approved by 60% of voters).

“We should make the most bold revisions to the vote where we have the opportunity to get 60% of that,” he continued.
“I agree that taxation on land/property is a more oppressive and ineffective form of taxation,” the governor added.

Eric Trump, one of President Donald Trump’s sons, shared DeSantis’s post, welcomed the idea and declared, “We’re leading Florida! This is amazing!”
The governor’s tweet has accumulated over 50,000 likes so far since sharing it on Thursday evening.

DeSantis placed a presidential bid in 2023, but after finishing in a distant second place in the Iowa Republican Presidential Caucus, he dropped out of Trump in early 2024 and approved it.
