Agriculture Secretary Brook Rollins announced on Friday that nearly 80 contracts have ended, including Brazilian Forest and Gender Consultants and Central America’s Gender Assessment Consultants.

Rollins said the 78 contracts operating under the Biden administration totaled more than $132 million, and more than 1,000 contracts are still under review due to potential termination.

The findings come after an Elon Musk-led government efficiency review. Rollins said it will help the Agriculture Department stop wasted spending.

The $132 million termination agreement includes $374,000 for diversity, equity and inclusion onboarding specialists, $254,000 for diversity dialogue workshops, and international for historically undervalued communities $298,000 for development, $229,000 for Brazilian forest and gender consultants, $121,000 for women and forest carbon, and $29,000 for Central America’s Gender Assessment Consultants Initiative Mentorship Program.

Rollins previously issued memos to officially withdraw all diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility programs, focusing instead on unity, equality, and meritocracy.

Currently, the agricultural sector has cancelled 948 employee training, of which 758 focus solely on DEIs. Other cancelled trainings covered topics such as environmental justice and gender ideology.

Another termination agreement states that “the region of Africa, the Middle East, Latin America and the Caribbean, and the Caribbean region for training, education and access to professional and economic opportunities for women, and climate change adaptation activities. “Increasing participation” totaled $91,000.

It also rented a local electric vehicle utility van and Hawaii meeting room for 100 people on biodiversity for $33,000 for $11,000.

The agricultural sector has cut $277 million due to media contracts. This includes subscriptions to Politico Pro, a news and information service that provides resources such as legislative tracking. Politico said the overwhelming majority of Politico Pro subscribers were in the private sector.

Federal agencies and lawmakers, including Republicans in Congress, are subscribed to Politico Pro, but the White House recently announced that the administration will eliminate subscriptions to several press agencies as part of its plans to reduce government spending. did.
