State Attorney General Blue accused Vice President JD Vance of trying to spread “dangerous lies” after criticizing a judge who was obstructing President Donald Trump’s agenda.
“The Vice President’s statement is as wrong as it is reckless. As the highest law enforcement officer representing the people of 17 states, we explicitly reject the Vice President’s attempt to spread this dangerous lie.” The statement reads.
The 17 state attorney generals, including those in California, Connecticut, Arizona, Massachusetts and Washington, signed a statement released Friday after Vance plunged the internet into a frenzy, saying, “Judges are the legitimate power of executives.” “We are not allowed to control it.”

“Americans understand the principles of checking and balance,” AGS wrote. “Judiciary is a check of illegal activities by the government’s administrative and legislative departments. Generals, prosecutors and all civil servants are subject to checks and balance. No one has surpassed the law.”

Vance’s comments came after the court blocked government efficiency (DOGE) access to personal data. The Trump administration has been the target of more than 50 lawsuits since Trump launched his second term in mid-January. Judges from various states across the country, including Washington, Rhode Island and New York, are continuing to block the administration’s efforts to implement their agenda.
“If a judge tries to tell the general how to carry out a military operation, it’s illegal,” Vance posted to X. .

The AGS statement said it would “scrutinize carefully all actions taken by this administration.” They also made it clear that if the administration violates constitutional or federal law, it would “not hesitate to act.”
“The judges accepted our claim and issued restraining orders to protect the American people, democracy and the rule of law. It was always their job, and that was their job,” AGS is writing. “That work is at the heart of our legal system, and at this important moment we will stand in our position to protect it.”

“We have a lot of unelected judges trying to control government spending, and there’s a clear separation of power,” Bondy appeared in the “American Newsroom.” “What they’re doing [DOGE leader Elon Musk]it’s outrageous for our country. You know, people are working for life and paying taxes, but you can see that they are giving Guatemala $2 million for sexual change. That’s outrageous. And it will stop. ”
Sixth judges blocked Trump’s executive order
Since his inauguration, dozens of activists and legal groups, elected officials, local jurisdictions, and individuals have launched countless cases in response to the president’s executive orders and directives. In particular, Trump’s executive order on birthright citizenship, his immigration policies, federal funding directives, and the implementation of Doge are all under attack.
The Trump administration has advanced to appeal many of these decisions to the Court of Appeal. In recent developments, the Trump administration has ordered a Rhode Island judge to freeze federal funds. The order argued that the administration failed to comply with previous orders to do so.

The Trump administration appealed the order to the first circuit shortly thereafter, and was ultimately denied.
