His Southern California father was seriously injured after a driver on the wrong road crashed into him on the 405 highway.
On February 11th, Raymond Nava got into his car and began driving.
Just after 4am, a male driver travelling north in the southbound lane crashed directly from the Nava vehicle at Sherman Oaks, just south of Ventura Boulevard.
A few minutes later, the driver collided with three vehicles near Valley Vista Boulevard.
The suspect was killed in shock. Nava was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries. He had some broken leg and arm, a broken pelvis, a broken hip, a fractured rib, internal bleeding and bruises.
“He’s now in pain from his horrific accident injuries,” said Andria Franco, the victim’s sister.

Nava lives in Bakersfield and commutes from home for three hours a day to provide his wife and five children.
“His children are devastated and we are trying our best possible,” she said. “We told them that their father was fighting for his family and that he was going to pull this out.”
NABA has since undergone life-saving procedures, and has been in danger before the family confirmed it was in stable condition on Saturday night.
Franco said their families are trying to continue to be strong knowing that NABA has a long and difficult path to recovery in the future.
“My brother has been suffering for so long so please continue to pray for my family,” Franco said. “These are life-changing surgeries he had to go through.”
With NABA still in hospital, his wife Maria quit her job and stayed by his side, helping him recover.
His loved ones are grateful that their doctors have promised a prognosis. They also appreciate the good Samaritans who rushed to help with the devastating crash fall moment.
“The civilians were wonderful angels who came to rescue them,” Franco said. “Without them, time is important and I just want to say that they are grateful that they will take him to that little time frame and take him without their help.
The driver of the suspect killed in the collision was later identified as Eduardo “Laro” Menblano. He is survived by his wife and a 3-year-old child. The circumstances behind why Membrano was driving the wrong way remain under investigation.
